The area around Rhyd Hir is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of the UK. It is also an ideal starting point for anyone who wants to make the most of their photographic skills, or to enjoy a short course on basic to advanced photography.
David Griffiths has been a photographer for almost 50 years and has been coaching people on the techniques, composition and special effects for film and digital camera users for a long time. Even if you're a raw beginner, his courses will help you gain confidence and skill to create great photographs. The courses are tailored to your needs and we have over 30 cameras of different types and formats you can practice with.
You can enjoy a one, two or three day course depending on your experience, your knowledge and your budget. At the end of the course, we will provide you with a CD of your work, and a number of high quality images to remind you of your time here at Rhyd Hir B&B.
For those who wish to gain some experience on digital photo processing, this can also be arranged - David has been using Adobe's Photoshop® computer-based photo enhancement application for nearly 20 years and our facilities at Rhyd Hir B&B include a professional quality photo printer. Subjects such as input profiles, monitor calibration, output profiles and the best print paper are part of the digital process course, all to help you print what you see through your camera viewfinder. Our facilities include a Nikon Coolscan 8000 professional film scanner and an Epson Perfection 4870 flat bed scanner.
